Our Programs (Looking Ahead)

Enrollment for the Steel Sensation Youth Orchestra’s 2026 season will officially open in January 2026. This is a performance-based program that requires previous steelpan experience. Members rehearse and perform as part of a full orchestra, preparing for New York Panorama and other cultural showcases.

If you are new to steelpan, please stay connected — once we secure a permanent rehearsal space, we plan to offer beginner and group classes in the future.

2026 Youth Orchestra Opportunities:

• Youth Orchestra Enrollment (Ages 8+) – Requires some playing experience; members train for Panorama and public performances.
   
• Performance Opportunities – Orchestra members will represent Steel Sensation in cultural events, community showcases, and festivals.
   
• Introductory Participation (Ages 5–7) – Younger children may attend rehearsals with a parent/guardian, but must progress in skill before joining the full orchestra.
   

Future Vision:

As we grow into a permanent space, Steel Sensation Steel Orchestra Corporation will expand to include:

• Beginner steelpan instruction for children and adults
   
• Family and seniors’ programs
   
• School residencies and cultural workshops
